Per-line settings in the "Sending safety" tab of Settings > WhatsApp (after Health, before Business) that decide how carefully a WhatsApp line sends automated messages: campaigns, bots, scheduled messages and group posts. Messages you send by hand are not limited there. The tab has six sections, each with a short help line and an "In effect:" line showing the values the line actually runs with: Expert mode, Contacts, Pace and hours, Groups, Restrictions and Media. Every organization member can open the tab and see the settings; only organization managers can change them, and everyone else sees "Managers can edit. Everyone else can view." The Health tab keeps the Sending Health score and links to the Sending safety tab. Every guard is optional and can be turned off. Defaults: "Daily first-contact budget" ON (blank uses the line's age default: 50 per day while the line is under 30 days old, 150 after; over-budget recipients are deferred to the next day, never dropped); "Auto-slow" ON (15% minimum 48-hour reply rate, 30% maximum single-tick share; steps the pace one preset slower, never pauses); "Pause while restricted" ON (holds new-contact sends while the line looks restricted, resumes when it clears or after 24 hours); "New-line warm-up tier" ON (3 messages per minute for the line's first week; turn off to opt out); "Opt-out footer" ON with an optional custom text; "Image variation" ON. The Contacts section also holds three per-contact limits for automated messages: "Automated messages to one contact per day" (default 3, platform limit 10), "Minimum gap between automated messages" (default 60 minutes, platform floor 15 minutes) and "Hold automations while a person is chatting" (default 30: after someone on your team writes to the contact, automations wait that many minutes). The Pace and hours section shows the platform quiet hours (for example "No automated sends 22:00-08:00. Set by the platform."), which always apply. "Expert mode" is OFF by default: when on, it lifts every guard on this line, the new-line warm-up tier and the preflight prompts before a campaign. The platform sending rate limit and any daily limit set on a campaign still apply, and Sending Health keeps updating and stays advisory. While Expert mode is on the other switches stay saved but are not applied. While Expert mode is on, the Pace and hours section also shows "Human cadence" with five switches that are on by default and that Expert mode does not change (see Human cadence). The Groups section covers automated posts to WhatsApp groups from this line (master groups, scheduled posts and batch forwards): the shortest and longest pause between group posts (default a random 60 to 120 seconds, never below the platform floor), group posts per day (default 50), people reached per day (default 5000), hours before the same post repeats in a group (default 2), groups per scheduled round (default 30), the number of groups that may remove the number in one day before group posts pause on the line (default 3), and optional group posting hours (blank is the same as the line). Every value is clamped to the platform limit, and in Expert mode the line runs at exactly the platform limits while quiet hours still apply ("Expert mode lifts your limits. Platform limits and quiet hours still apply."). When enough groups removed the number in a day, the section shows "Group posts paused on this line - N groups removed this number today" with a "Resume group posts" button for managers; only a resume by a manager lifts it. A group post held back by these limits waits and shows why (for example "Waiting: pause between group posts"); a post to a group that no longer exists, that removed the number, that is labelled DONOTSEND or that left the master group is not sent and says so. Because of the 60 to 120 second pause between group posts, a master-group post or batch forward to 20 groups takes about 20 to 40 minutes to finish. Under the sections, "Limits in effect" shows the platform maximums for the line (group posts and people a day, automated messages to one contact) and today's counts (group posts, people reached and automated messages to contacts). While Spun has not yet switched these limits to enforced, a preview banner says "Preview mode: these limits are counted, not enforced, until Spun turns them on after reviewing the results with you." and how many sends on the line would have been held in the last 7 days.

How to use

  1. Open Settings > WhatsApp > Sending safety (or follow the "Sending safety" link on the Health tab).
  2. If you have several lines, pick the line at the top.
  3. In Contacts, toggle "Daily first-contact budget" and optionally type a number per day (blank = age default), and set the per-contact limits and the opt-out footer.
  4. In Pace and hours, adjust "Auto-slow" thresholds (% replies, % single tick) or switch it off, and toggle "New-line warm-up tier".
  5. In Groups, set the pause between group posts and the daily group limits.
  6. Toggle "Pause while restricted" and "Image variation".
  7. Turn on "Expert mode" only if you want all guards lifted; an amber note confirms it is on.
  8. Click Save. Changes apply to the next sends of that line. Members who are not managers can view the tab but not change it.
