PII Redaction: Automatically redacts sensitive personal information (phone numbers, ID numbers, addresses, financial details, health info) from AI processing. Supports 10+ languages. Three preset modes:

  • Maximum — Strictest redaction, blocks most PII categories.
  • Balanced — Moderate redaction, allows some context through.
  • Full AI — Minimal redaction, AI sees more data for better responses.

Switching modes triggers an embedding purge to ensure previously-indexed data respects the new mode.

Data Controls: Request a full data export of your organization's data - if the org has used Contact Intelligence, the export also includes a summary of those third-party lookups (purpose, subprocessor, retention, and counts, not the enriched profile content itself; deleting an individual profile's data is done from that contact, not from the export). Delete your account (instant self-service or assisted deletion), which also removes any published Spun Chat attachment files, not just their database rows. Purge all messages. Pause or resume storage syncing.

Connection Safety: Configure cross-org connection preferences — enable/disable incoming connection requests, enable/disable cross-org messaging.

How to use ​

  1. Go to Settings → Safety.
  2. Choose a PII redaction preset (Maximum, Balanced, or Full AI) or customize individual PII categories.
  3. Configure which AI services use redaction (Compose, Summarize, Chatbot).
  4. Use Data Controls to request exports (includes a Contact Intelligence lookup summary if any were made), delete account, or purge messages.
  5. Configure cross-org connection safety preferences.
